Tuesday 10th
March 2020
We had appointments at the Well-Travelled Clinic for injections for our
forthcoming holiday to India.
Coronavirus permitting of course.
Afterwards, Brenda did some shopping, buying a couple of new cardigans
while I went to the Cheshire Records Office. There were a couple of records
that I had wanted to view but they did not hold them on the premises, so had to
have them brought them out of storage in the salt mines at Winsford. One was a
small newspaper cutting of a funeral held in 1881 and yet it is held within the
archives.
I then went back to Overleigh Cemetery searching, unsuccessfully, for more
family graves before returning via the Chester Racecourse area, searching for more
family addresses, now all disappeared beneath the racecourse car park.
Back on the boat, the port hull side was touched up with primer in preparation
for blackening tomorrow. It has been months now since this side has been
touched up and it was beginning to look decidedly uncared for.
