We moved across the canal onto the service point. Watered, did a couple of washes while it was free, dumped rubbish and emptied the loo. We then undertook the unorthodox manoeuvre of reversing up the lock onto the junction above before passing through the swing bridge and back onto the Coventry Canal. It is always a nice feeling when an unusual manoeuvre goes well, but we had many people watching and wondering what we were up too. Nobody pointed out that we were going the wrong way though. We moored in the first spot we saw beyond the bridge.

After hanging out washing, we went to the Swan for our Sunday dinner along with Dave and Eddie off nb Pianissimo DC, a couple we had met in Hopwas. We had a fine afternoon but got back far too late to complete any of the chores we had set ourselves.
