I travelled to Middlewich to pick up the kids who are coming to the boat
for a few days. I travelled by train after purchasing my over 60’s Rail Card.
The card cost £30 for the year and gives 30% off all rail travel.
Arriving in Crewe, Andrea kindly picked me up. Tracey got home from
work and then a chaotic evening began. It was Halloween and the kids wanted to
go out “trick or treating”. This meant getting them both ready, driving Eva
around to one friends house to pick them up and take them to another friends.
Then across to Winsford to pick Manny’s pals up and bring them to Middlewich.
We then drew breath at the house before Eva was dropped off, then a Chinese,
which was finished just as Manny rang for picking up and returning his pals to
Winsford.
So the Chinese didn’t turn out to be a sociable family affair and by
the time everybody was home, it was too late to visit anybody. Never mind, it
was always going to be a flying visit anyway and it was a hectic family evening
with a lot of running around for Tracey.
Brenda did housework and washing, preparing for the kids arrival.
