We shifted across Sawley Cut into the marina to see the engineer as arranged. There seem to be a lot of spurious electrical happenings just now. The engineer reckons it is probably an earthing problem but has arranged for an electrician to visit on Saturday. We just hope that this doesn’t turn out to be another episode were we are kept waiting and waiting.

We shifted onto the visitor mooring at the marina and then went to arrange to stay a few days and have electrical hook-up. Marian fees are £10.21 including electric.

Aaron at 1pm. He had just finished two night shifts so was understandably tired. We walked into Long Eaton calling first into the Harrington Arms. They do not allow dogs. What a stupid ruling this is these days. I can understand dogs not being allowed in the dining room, but surely they should have some part of the premises where dogs are allowed. Their choice though and today it cost them about £40 and over the next few days probably a further £100.

We walked back to the boat, dropped the dogs off and went to the Hungry Horse that adjoins the marina. We all had really nice meals.

Weather: a cooler day, overcast but dry.
