I was awake early and had done a few jobs before Brenda woke. The
tiles were fixed to the bulkhead above the hob using Stikaflex, just need
grouting now.

We walked into Repton crossing over the River Trent on an impressive
viaduct. The river has grown no end over the time we have been following it, from
the small, dirty stream we first saw in Stoke-on-Trent.
Repton is reputedly one of the oldest towns in England and was once the
capital of Mercia. There were many lovely old buildings in the village from
different eras.
Repton Public School was founded in 1557 and really, the school dominates
the village with many school buildings dotted around the place.

A lovely place Repton, well worth the walk. Property there must be
very expensive.
Back in Willington, we again had our lunch in the Dragon then back to the
boat.
It had turned out a lovely day so Brenda read outside and I did more jobs.
The tile grouting was done between us but it seems the powdered grout has gone
off and it set far too quickly without being properly worked. And it was a
buggar to clean off. Just hope it’s OK once it thoroughly dries.
Also spliced in the wrap around fenders on the back end and started to
splice loops to hang the side fenders off.
We had fish and chips for our dinner from the local chippy.
Weather: a chilly start, warm in the afternoon with hot spells. No
wind.
