Sunday 3rd May 2020

Having eaten quite late last night, we had left the dishes and so woke to a mountain of them this morning. This is where water conservation becomes a nuisance. Being aware of our water consumption, we tend to leave dirty dishes for as long as possible, although neither of us particularly like leaving them.

Brenda was not feeling very well in the morning, bad enough that she, unusually, went back to bed. She had been thinking for a while now, that she was becoming allergic to beer and had been sticking to wine. However, we had bought some Gluten-free beer in Morrison’s to try, but just two bottles yesterday, were too much for her.

Yet more photos and documents were put into the albums, a long and slow process, but almost finished. While having our breakfast, a pair of Jays were feeding off the spilt seed below the bird feeder, a rare sight.

I had my haircut. Short. Brenda reckons there is not a lot to cut now and it seems I have more on my face after not shaving for two days. Also, there is no difference in colour between Harvey and myself. We sat outside in the warm sunshine, reading and I started on the wrap-around fenders for the starboard side. Once the knots are learnt, it’s an easy process but pulling three lots of rope 12m long back through themselves is hard work, but rewarding.

Again, we had a Sunday dinner. Roast Pork. We always like to keep a traditional Sunday dinner and, at this present time, it is all that marks the passing of the days.
