Ethan sent us his photographs of his time
with us, this one of him steering. And managing
to miss everything.
With a big smile on his face.
We went into Northwich for our 9am appointment at the bank. The appointment
was fruitful but we now have another on Friday. The way things are going we are
never going to move on.
After a bit of shopping on the way back, we left the Broken Cross. The
intention was to go up to Wincham Wharf and find Sandra, then to wind and head for
Bramble Cutting again, before heading back to Middlewich to be there for England’s
World Cup semi-final match on Wednesday night.
We saw Sandra but she reckons she won’t get to do our work until next
week. So yet another week of hanging around waiting.
We were both a bit despondent and so had a change of plan. There are
lovely moorings just before Anderton so we decided to head there and onto
Middlewich tomorrow.
We were very lucky to have the moorings to ourselves, normally there
are a number of boats here.
The views across towards Great Budworth and its distinctive church are
quite stunning.
It was nice to be back in the countryside away from the noise of
lorries and from directly under the flight path for Manchester airport and the
low aircraft.
