Monday 9th July 2018

We were moored overnight at the Broken Cross in Rudheath. After an awful night’s sleep for both of us, we had an easy quiet day today. All night Jack Richards lorries were on the go. The first woke me at 2am and it was constant after that. There are to be new build homes across the canal from us. Bet they’ll not tell them about the noise all night.

We have an appointment at the bank in Northwich tomorrow so have just stayed where we are. Might regret that come bedtime.

We walked to the Co-op in Rudheath and, apart from that, have done very little. Brenda read most of the day and I had an afternoon nap. Well I am retired after all!!

I read some in the afternoon and did a few jobs. Repositioned the thermostat beside the optics and finally got the TV signal booster to work, again wires had been reversed.

A few pints to earn our moorings, dinner, a quiet evening and we’ll be ready for bed.

Was impressed this evening, that 27 hours after running the engine, the water was still hot enough to do the dishes.
