We had an appointment with a financial advisor at the bank in Northwich today at 10:30. It is a shorter walk into town from Marston so I was awake early and cruised the four miles to Marston and moored by the Salt Barge pub.

We walked first to B&Qs then into town and the bank, we have to meet again next week.

Heading back to the boat we called into Asda for shopping. While neither of us minded humping the shopping there has to be an easier way. The 1½ miles back was long. It was cooler today but in the winter it would be quite a thought.

We were by now, very low on water so once unpacked we carried on to Anderton and the service point. Watered up, dumped rubbish and emptied the toilet cassette. Then moved a short distance up the canal and tied up for the night.

We are both totally fed up of moving just short distances, over ground we now know well.

Not long after washing had been hung out it rained. Heavily. Very heavily. The first proper rain we have had in months.
